All In One Family Foundation (ZAKPORA) has raised alarm over possible escalation of global violence. In a press release on Wednesday 05/10/2022, signed by the organization’s founder: HLB. Obinna MADUAKO [I], the global peace advocacy movement stated that events of the past months suggested the world was tilting farther away from stability and order.

UKRAINE RUSSIA CONFLICTS

Part of the heavily worded statement reads: “Top of our concerns is the raging war in Ukraine which has consistently veered off the tracks to imminent resolutions. With President Vladimir Putin officially assenting to annexation of four Ukrainian regions of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, mobilizing hundreds of thousands into Russia military, there seems to be one possible outcome – escalation of violence. Even more worrisome is the rhetorics of possible nuclear escalation. Ego is the major driving force behind every battle. A bruised ego mixed with dangerous weapons could be cataclysmic at this age”.

GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS

On the global impacts of the ruthless war in Ukraine, HLB. MADUAKO [I], opined that “shots fired in Ukraine do not only devastate Ukraine but economies around the world. High inflation, flattening of currencies, shortage of food supply are major threats to global population”.

As fears grow for another global economic recession, Zakpora feared it could be the final spark to set off flames of unimaginable spreads.

NATURE ROARS WITH DISASTER

The organization also sympathized with victims of natural disasters around the world especially in USA, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Croatia and wondered if humans were too far behind to save our planet as nature was not left out in the growing list of items in pressure cooker of global violence.

While regretting the forgotten conflicts in Yemen, Syria, South Sudan and Somalia, Zakpora was worried that there was still no significant road map to peace in Ethiopia.

SAHEL CONFLICTS

On Sahel crisis, the statement reads: “Jihadists threats across the Sahel remain very strong and much of a destabilizing factor in the region. Mass abduction for ransom getting worse in Nigeria. With 50% of Burkina Faso’s territory under the control of Islamic militants, resulting to two military coups in ten months, fears widen if the West Africa region is back to years of military take overs and internal conflicts. More so, Mali and Guinea are ruled by military juntas after respective military takeovers, also blamed on the inability of the civilian governments to tame jihadists invasion”.

In clear terms, HLB. MADUAKO [I] stated “Conflict escalations beget arms proliferations, which in some cases find their way in the hands of non state actors. A worry for any genuine government especially in developing countries”.

RALLYING CRY FOR GLOBAL PEACE

In a resounding rallying call for global peace, Zakpora reminded humans of consequences of choices.. “Indeed, our world is going through challenging times. History is clear on global cycle of order and chaos. However, the reality remains that in each case, we humans are the drivers of every era. The effects are consequences of options we choose”.

The emotional laden cry of Zakpora stated “For more than ever, there is need to raise high, the proportion of love over hate, builders over destroyers, light over darkness and unifiers over dividers. For more than ever, the universe needs those who promote happiness more than tears, instil joy more than fears, place justice above power and are rich for the sake of the poor.

For more than ever, our planet does not just need strong politicians but good humans in politics whom place love for humanity above everything.

Failure to raise high the proportion of the mentioned could slide our planet into an era of unprecedented global instability.

At ZAKOPRA, we are committed to helping the world heal and achieve values required for relative peace, harmony and order”.

All In One Family Foundation aka ZAKPORA joins the growing list of calls to de-escalate conflicts around the world which rather seem to be getting worse since 2020.
