World Leaders heed to ZAKPORA’s call as Ethiopia’s government and Tigray rebels accept peace talks

An opportunity for peace is hopeful again as Ethiopia’s government and Tigray rebels agree for peace talks.
Pressures from reputable organizations and individuals, including; All In One Family Foundation aka ZAKPORA seem to be paying off. African Union (AU) anounced, that all parties have accepted an invitation to a negotiating table in South Africa.
Since its founding in June 2022, ZAKPORA has constantly called for an end to the two year ruthless war in Ethiopia.
At height of hostilities in August 2022, ZAKPORA urged the spokesperson of Tigray Peoples Liberation Fronts (TPLF) and adviser to Tigray President; Getachew K Reda to consider a truce.
In a reply to a tweet through its official handle @zakpora369, the peace advocate movement counseled Getachew Reda:
“What is happening in Ethiopia is shameful and ought to have all parties involved worrying. If the negotiating table is the inevitable final destination, how many more Ethiopian lives are required to head to that table”
Observers must be watching with cautious optimism knowing attempts to restore peace in Ethiopia had been previously made. But war weariness, and desire by ordinary Ethiopians to restore peace could be the game changer this time in an African Union (AU) initiated peace negotiations led by former Nigeria President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former deputy president of South Africa, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka.
Eritrea’s alleged involvement in fighting alongside Ethiopia’s government forces had complicated the war even further.
In 2018, Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, immediately after assuming office offially ended twenty years war between Ethiopia and Eritrea. A move that won him Nobel Peace Prize in 2019.
However, war in Ethiopia which broke out in November 2020 had led to controversies and criticisms against Nobel Prize Foundation.
On 1st September 2022, All In One Family Foundation (ZAKPORA) slammed Nobel Prize over Abiy’s involvement in Ethiopia War stating at this rate Min Aung Hlaing; Myanmar’s coup leader could win 2022 Nobel Peace Prize.
ZAKPORA also advised the Nobel Prize Foundation against awarding its prestigious Peace Prize to politicians at the rise of their career. Recall Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was only 43 years old when he won Nobel Peace Prize and barely two years in power.
